Women from the Kobonal Mission in Haiti harvest clay from the soils of their farms and create these beautiful ornaments and jewelry. They work hard to design and hand shape the clay into one of a kind pieces. They are then hand painted and fired in a wood fired kiln for up to 8 hours to give them their beautiful natural patina. Each time you purchase one of these pieces, you are helping these women and their families. There is no doubt about it! In fact, you not only help the women, you also help the mission to continue it's Farming Program which is vital to the Kobonal mission; employing 30 people and reaching over 600 members each year, providing practical important information about growing healthy crops and community for the future generations. There is no better gift than to empower one with tools to become self-sufficient. Please make your order today to help us continue to "teach a man to fish" and improve the lives of those in need!
